Purpose of the initiator Estella Schweizer – pioneer of climate-friendly cuisine

Born in 1983, Estella Schweizer has always been driven by a deep concern for a fairer, more sustainable world. Her journey from a passion for nutrition to occupational therapy, and eventually into restaurant management, culminated in being successfulyl self-employment in consulting, coaching and speaking.

My philosophy: “Food connects everything”
What we eat transforms the world: it shapes human health, the environment, social structures, and the economy. A closer look reveals that all 17 SDGs are intertwined with our eating behavior.

Our diet is inherently political, and menus even more so. Chefs hold shared responsibility for the health of their guests and bear full accountability for the ecological footprint of their offerings.

My focus is on seasonal, plant-based (organic) products from fair trade sources, freshly and gently prepared. Ingredients like legumes, nuts, seeds, and whole grains are creatively crafted to bring joy, health, and satisfaction.

Nutrition: The key to the future
Our food choices have the potential to reduce the food sector’s collective carbon footprint by up to 60%. Every meal is a step toward a climate-friendly future.
In Germany alone, switching to a sustainable diet could save up to 2 tons of greenhouse gases per person annually.
